The Challenge
Wink Studio was launching a new salon and needed a brand identity that reflected its upscale, modern aesthetic while appealing to a trend-conscious urban clientele. The brand needed to feel elevated, elegant, and memorable, with the flexibility to work across both digital and physical touchpoints.

Discovery & Strategy
I began with a competitive audit of salon branding to identify overused visuals and uncover whitespace opportunities. I created a moodboard that established a brand tone that balanced modern luxury with playful femininity. A distinctive creative element was the integration of cherry blossoms, which reinforced the brand’s elegance and individuality.

Visual Identity
The final identity features a custom logotype with delicate, high-contrast letterforms to express elegance. 
A soft, neutral color palette was chosen for versatility and longevity. Red cherry blooms became a signature accent, while warm brown was used to soften the overall look and add warmth.
The brand system was intentionally minimal, allowing it to scale easily across print materials, future digital content, and signage.
Outcome and Impact
The branding helped the client establish a distinctive presence in a competitive neighbourhood.
The visual system was praised for being "easy to use" across marketing assets and contributed to a consistent, elevated brand presence.
